The Supreme Buddha and His disciples recited a variety of chants to dispel evil, allay fears and eradicate diseases. Over the long centuries, innumerable disciples of the Buddha recited these chants a billion times in some instances, in a multitude of lands. The power these chants possess to heal and to tranquillize, has been experienced by countless generations.

Twenty – nine of these main chants have been gathered into this App for the benefit of devotees the world over. These chants are rhythmically recited by Ven. Weragoda Sarada Nayaka Maha Thero, intoning the words, phrases and stanzas with impressive clarity to enable accurate pronunciation, and with great respect and gratitude to the Buddha.

Ven. Weragoda Sarada Nayaka Maha Thero, Chief Prelate of Singapore, Buddhist Summit, World Buddhist Supreme Conference, Secretary General, was born in the south of Sri Lanka in 1941.
